Our county is at a breaking point. Communities no longer feel safe. Parents cannot walk their children to school, a park, the store, or simply enjoy an evening out at dinner or a movie without fearing that they will be robbed, that their homes will be burglarized while they are away, or worse if they are followed home. Hardworking small business owners face a growing homeless population while simultaneously being victimized by organized burglary crews and smash-and-grab mobs.

I cannot and will not stand by and watch this continue. I will bring back strength and leadership to the LASD. Above all, I will bring back safety. We will refocus the department and return every available resource to the community.

This campaign is about more than just crime statistics. It is about hope. I am ready to listen, to solve problems, and to lead this department back to being the premier law enforcement organization it once was. We will show the nation and the world what it means to be safe, united, and proud, right here in the amazing Los Angeles County.
